Highlights of the study
Over 2,300 middle-aged men over a 20 year period divided into 3 groups
 
Group 1— 1 sauna session per week
Result= 49% death rate
Group 2— 2-3 sauna sessions per week
Result= 38% death rate
Group 3— 4- 7 sauna sessions per week
Result= 31% death rate

components like frequency, and duration of sauna use stayed consistent across the study.
 
Each sauna session averaged 14.2 minutes long.
